The Dako™ChromaVision® ACIS III is an automated cellular imaging system utilizing a bright-field microscope (with five Nikon objective lens from 5x to 80x) that uses proprietary analysis software (not included) for analyzing immunohistochemically stained tissue samples. It digitizes an image, then detects, enumerates and classifies stained cellular objects based on color and shape in an area selected by the system operator.
This particular scope was removed in November 2017 from a biotech lab in Massachusetts where it was in use right up until the day we bought it. It is in fully functional condition. Unfortunately we were not able to acquire the computer or software that goes with it, so that why we are selling this as is at about half the price we could get if we had the computer. The software is available from Dako™ and any technical questions would have to be fielded by them because we didn’t even get a User’s Manual. This is sad to us because this is a really nice, clean instrument and we’d love to be able to play with it for a while.
Data cables and power cord are included. The unit was made in the USA in May 2007 and operates on 120VAC. It weighs about 70lbs and measures 24x28x14. We offer a shipping option of wood box crating for an extra fee of $200 which makes it bulletproof for shipping anywhere in the world. Or we can box it in cardboard with plenty of foam and bubblewrap. We take great pride in our packing and want for our instruments to make it to the customer undamaged.
