The AC600 Series LFUVC Model Workstation, with UVTect™ microprocessor-driven control, allows the operator to maintain a Class 100 clean work area during PCR preparation (nucleic acid preparation) and amplification. Airborne contaminants are eliminated through pre-filter and HEPA filtration. Class 100, vertical laminar airflow bathes the work surface and provides positive pressure at the face of the unit. The positive pressure eliminates potential airborne contaminants that may enter the workstation during amplification. UVTect™ provides variable speed blower control allowing the operator to increase or decrease airflow relevant to the application requirements. UVTect™ also provides constant monitoring of the filter, with audible/visual alarms to alert the user of a blocked filter.
This particular hood was bought by CSI recently from a research laboratory where it was not in use. It does not have the fluorescent or UV light, although they could be added. The HEPA filter is outdated and therefore is sounding an alarm and error code, but a temporary 30-day code can be obtained through AirClean to bypass the alarm. Actually I don’t think the HEPA in this unit was ever used; there’s no sign of any dirt or discoloration from use. But a new HEPA filter will probably need to be purchased from AirClean to put this hood into continuous use. They are about $300. Otherwise, this hood is in perfect condition and looks pristine.
We will include the roller cart with locking wheels. Total height is 73″ and width is 32″. Unit runs on 120VAC or 220VAC. 120V plug is included. To ship this we will need to crate the hood itself and disassemble the roller cart. The cost of crating ($250) is included in the price here. If the buyer wishes this can be picked up at our shop in Sonora California and the crate fee will be removed. We will not palletize this item for shipping due to our concerns about damages en route. We insure all shipments for full value and offer a 30-day right of return (buyer pays shipping) if this isn’t what you want.
We have checked this unit and it powers up fine, albeit with the HEPA alarm as explained here.
This is an excellent price and we will work with you to make this a good experience buying from CSI. If you have any questions please drop us a line here and we will be happy to find the answers.
